... but the door remains closed
A National Movement for Consistent Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practice Reform Across Systems
Join the Movement
Our Vision
We envision an Australia where no person is hidden behind the systems meant to care for them. Where Positive Behaviour Support is embedded as standard practice in every classroom, hospital ward, community service, and custodial setting; not as a last resort, but as a foundational right. We believe that dignity, safety, and autonomy are non-negotiable. Through this campaign, we are mobilising a national standard that prevents harm, centres lived experience, and ensures consistent, accountable approaches to support.

Our Goals
Expose
The unheard stories that still happen.
Every locked door — in a school, hospital, group home or prison — tells a story. But those stories often remain untold. Our campaign centres those experiences and asks:
what would change if we truly listened?
Collaborate
To raise the voices of those that have not been heard
Bringing together thought leaders, educators, advocates, clinicians, and people with lived experience in a national forum to share expertise, build knowledge, and shape the future of behaviour support across all systems.
What Would Change if we spoke up?
Change
To change the minds and laws for those who need it most
To advocate for legislative change that protects those most vulnerable to harm, exclusion, and neglect within closed systems. To challenge outdated frameworks that allow restrictive practices to continue without accountability. To create enforceable safeguards that apply equally across sectors.
What would change if the law required it?
